Screentime Superstars has been carefully crafted for our littlest learners. Together, we'll discover how to stay healthy, safe, and empowered while exploring the digital world.

Join Ollie as he begins his online adventures. While he loves his iPad and gaming we are quick to discover that he has a lot to learn... just like our junior students!

Animations and augmented reality help tell the story of our young adventurers online. Each character we meet encounters a new challenge with so much to help inform and empower our Year 3/4 students.

Immersed in realistic scenarios, students in Year 5/6 are challenged to reflect more deeply about their online experiences. Preparing them to thrive in an online world involves being aware. clever, brave and kind.

Years 1/2
Here is a snapshot of the 2024 Term 2 incursion. This focused on healthy digital habits, including balancing screen time with green time, the importance of sleep, and strategies to help finish up with devices.
Years 3/4
Here is a snapshot of the 2023 Term 3 incursion. Term 3 incursions focus on navigating uncomfortable situations online, cyberbullying, upstanders, bystanders and consent.
Years 5/6
Here is a snapshot of the 2024 Term 1 incursion. This focused on rights and responsibilities, the internet and the law, and digital footprints.

The student, staff and parent sessions run by INFORM & EMPOWER are fabulous. The content is developmentally appropriate and engaging. You can tell Marty comes from an educational background, because no one could keep our students engaged for as long as he did without some tricks up his sleeve.

What about seminars for parents and carers?

Our unique parent information session, Raising Kids in a Digital World, is co-hosted by Marty McGauran (primary school teacher) and Carley McGauran (psychologist & mum). Your parents will leave the session, not terrified of all things online but importantly, informed and empowered to make the best decisions for their family. In 2025 there are 3 options to choose from:

host an evening onsite at your school

exclusive webinar for your school, complete with an introduction by your Principal

join a shared webinar that your parents can watch live or on-demand

What if some classes can’t tune in at the time and date of the live streams?To help avoid timetabling clashes, each term and for each year level there are 5 different times/days times per term. Your school can choose from the 5 dates & times on offer each term to watch the live, interactive incursions. If for some reason, your school cannot attend live, there will be a replay available to watch on demand. For a full list of the times and dates, CLICK HERE

What if a student is absent?The teacher would have the option of sharing either the live stream link for them to tune in from home or the replay link to access after the event.

Are they just watching a video or episode each term?No. The session will be streamed live and students will be provided with opportunities to interact. In Years 1/2, students will be joining in games, actions, songs as well as their teacher being able to submit answers to Marty & Ollie. In Years 3-6, students (in pairs) will be using their own devices to join in a live Kahoot quiz.

How do students interact during the sessions?In Year 1-2, the students will be singing along and moving to the songs as well as opportunities to share answers that the teacher can submit to Marty & Ollie. In Years 3-6, students will require access to a device (shared is ok, in fact preferred) to participate in a live Kahoot quiz.

Is Inform & Empower accredited or endorsed to deliver cyber safety?Yes, absolutely. We are endorsed by the eSafety Commissioner as a Trusted eSafety Provider.

Do I have to sign up my whole school or can we just pay for some year levels?As there are technically 3 different programs, your school can elect to enrol for just the 1-2 program or 3/4 or 5/6 or even two out of the three. Just indicate which levels and the number of students on the registration form. We strongly encourage schools to take a "whole school approach" and include students from 1-6! Please note, the Foundation (Prep/Kinder) resources and videos are made available at no cost when enrolling your 1-6 year levels.

What if we're a tiny school...can we still take part?Yes! We have schools join us with as little as 32 students (F-6). To cover the cost of administration we do have a minimum invoice total of $250.
